UNCRC and other international human rights standards

Who are we?

We are a vibrant and dynamic group of young people committed to children’s rights and having a bit of ol’ craic!!
In a nutshell, we are aged between 15-21 years, come from various walks of life and we aim to make sure your voice is heard at local and national levels of decision-making.
Article 12 United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child states:

‘You have the right to an opinion, for it to be listened to and to be taken seriously.’

The primary aim of Youth@CLC is to promote awareness of children’s rights. Our ultimate goal is for every child and young person in “Norn Iron” to be fully aware of their rights and the laws that affect them.

We try to fulfil this many different ways

  • Lobbying
  • Video and media training
  • Training courses
  • Photography
  • Drama
  • Residentials
  • Conferencing
  • Web design

To name but a few….so you could say that we’re a busy bunch!!
But as the old saying goes:
All work and no play makes youth@clc <mailto:youth@clc> a dull group!! So we also take time to chill out and enjoy each other’s company.
