Recruitment
Youth@clc will go out and about to other agencies in different
sectors of the community and will offer a presentation on
the children’s strategy that will involve acting and
imagery. This will involve other agencies to be kept informed
of children’s rights and will be a great opportunity
for young people to meet youth@CLC and join the project.

Integration into the Children’s Law Centre
Youth @ clc will work closely with CLC staff over the coming
year to ensure that they are integral to the overall working
of the centre.
Road to Rights Course
The peer-facilitators will be busy over the next few months
as they utilise their skills in offering training to organisations
and young people on the United Nations Convention on the Rights
of the Child and children’s rights.
The Road to Rights course will soon begin the second run this
Summer. Youth@clc will be involved in the recruitment for
this project and support participants in obtaining the accreditation.
Lobbying for children’s rights.
Youth@clc will continue to lobby for children’s rights,
attending conferences and seminars to ensure that children’s
and young people are listened to in decisions that are made
which affect them.
Advertising
Youth@clc were asked to participate in a community broadcast
announcement by UTV. This involved advertising CHALKY the
advice and information line for children and young people
at the Children’s Law Centre. Coming to a TV screen
near you: The advertisement gives information on what issues
CHALKY deals with through examples of real life situation.
Nominations for BAFTA’s for the advertisement are due
to be published in the near fuiture.
